Life and Times Outside the Blogosphere

I have not blogged for a while, but I figure I would give it another shot. What is more boring than a blog with hardly no activity is a blog that just rants and raves. This blog is dedicated to the things I like, but I would wish to complete somethings by the end of this year. That said I have accomplished many things in my absence. I am constructing my Warhammer 40k army and I wish to share it on the internet pics and all and describe the tactics that go along with it. Hint: melta vets.

I am doing reviews for FanserviceFTW, and the next review is going to be Vampire Bund. So, stay tuned for more!

Reflection 2009

As the new year comes, I have in my hand a shot of whiskey which is perfect for reminiscing . With than in hand, lets discuss 2009…what a year for me. It really took me for ride. I made great friends, went through some critical growth, and found out that people can like who I really am.

First off, let me say I met some really great and wonderful people. You know who you are. I am thankful to of met each and everyone of you. You all changed my perspective on life, and for that I am eternally grateful. Thank you for helping me through some challenging times and strengthening my resolve to become the person I know I can be. Because of you all, I now better know many things I should of known a long time ago, but because of the friend(s) I had, I could of never of known trivia from a wide range of topics from anime to general nerdom. I played quite possibly my greatest Dungeons and Dragons campaign no part to the dedicated PCs who played. Though marred with DHERR “BLANK IS TRYING TO OUT DO ME” Which only applied to two people who each said the exact same things to me, it was wonderful. I liked how in Anime Club we were responsible for DECIDING ALL THE ANIMES though all our candidates lost in the elections. Good times. Though I won my post, it was a phyric victory. I watched many shows with a good friend of mine during Spring Break. My mecha knowledge has increased because of him. I look forward to our reunion in the future.

Second, my grandfather’s passing at Thanksgiving really made me think about mortality, life, and who you are. As people memorialized him, I began to feel like I never really knew my grandfather, but I did know him really well. A great, disciplined, fun loving guy. I am sure he will be in heaven if any man deserved it… he does. God bless your Grandpa. You were my only Grandpa.

Next, my time at Starkville in general taught me the cruel lessons of women. Yes whiskey and remembering all the heartaches involved without women are usually a bad thing, but let me indulge in this for a moment. With any particular person many numerous factors may lead someone to become interested or disinterested. I guess I never had the manliness or that spark to really come through. Blah, what rubbish when I hear there is the special one of a kind girl for you. That has to be wrong. Relationships need to be maintained and must have effort to work. They are not randomly generated on a random number generator or a d100. My best guess is that I liked the wrong women at the wrong time. Each had their own things going on that caused them to go nuclear on me. I tried to understand each of them even though I was hurt by them. Being the nice guy is hard and unrewarding though and I like to keep it that way. To those women I like to say this: You could of had something wonderful, but I hope you like the choices you made. I hope that one day you can find someone special. I will be glad if you find a guy who values your feelings and cares for you.

Also, I had to learn to lose some friends. Its hard, but you out grow dorks who just like metal. METAL METAL. Yes we all know that metal roommate who has the superior music to you. EVEN THOUGH I LIKED METAL BY LIKE A DECADE LONGER THEN HIM. Oh well. Posers are posers. I truly like heavy metal. ie MECHA. so take that.

Lastly, my hobbies are now solidified. I again thank my friends for helping me know what I really like. Being a nerd is so amazing and fun. I would never trade it for anything. EVEN WOMEN. For a man’s hobbies are the fire of his soul. As I pierce the heavens know this world. 2010 will be better and more fantastic. I will meet new people and start the world over again. I must continue on from life not clinging to the past but looking into the future. Kamina said that thats why people have eyes in the front of their head to look into the future.

Things I learned

Friends amazing

Girls need work at

Metal head roommates plus bitches who like snakes bad

That about sums it up. Onward to 2010.

My Mission

The mission of this blog is to provide news, reviews and opinions from across the internet. From anime to Transformers to Warhammer 40k just about all of geekdom I have an opinion and I will express it with out any consideration on how you feel about the matter. The topics above are not the limits of what I will talk about, nor should they ever be considered as such. Some people may ask, “Why are you so cynical or critical of stuff like animes and frivolous things?” I say to them because without people like me you will just get the mindless dribble of horribly written shows and trite plots without anything new or original. So, being a fickle duche is my job. Enjoy my mad rantings or well insane ravings of things ahead in the future.

Peace,

Burning Sirus
